HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR?

Vía Cuernavaca

From Mexico City, take the motorway to Cuernavaca. Once in Cuernavaca, follow the motorway until the exit to Cuautla-Civac. Take the road to Cuautla-Civac, which leaves Cuernavaca city, passes through Jiutepec and Cañón de Lobos. You’ll eventually see the junction that takes you to the centre of Yautepec. Don´t take it; keep going until you see the exit to Jojutla (to your right). Make a right there and follow the signs to Jojutla-Las Estacas. Exactly 5 km (3.1 miles) after this right turn, you’ll see the Hotel “Villas el Trebol” on your left, and still further ahead a cattle-guard (parallel steel bands crossing the road). Some 50 m past the cattle-guard turn left on a little street where you’ll see the bus stop ‘Los Nardos’ on the corner. On this street, some 200 m ahead you’ll see on your right the brown gate to Chintamani (marked with the number 16).

Vía Tepoztlán

From Mexico City, take the motorway to Cuernavaca. Take the exit to Tepoztlán-Oaxtepec-Cuautla. Go through the toll gate at Tepoztlán. Go through the toll gate at Oacalco. Imediately after the latter, take the exit that leads to Yautepec. Go through Yautepec (following the main road all straight on) until you get out on the other side of town, to the road Cuautla-Cuernavaca. Turn left, towards Cuautla. Soon after, you’ll see the exit to Jojutla (on your right). Make a right there and follow the signs to Jojutla-Las Estacas. Exactly 5 km (3.1 miles) after this right turn, you’ll see the Hotel “Villas el Trebol” on your left, and still further ahead a cattle-guard (parallel steel bands crossing the road). Some 50 m past the cattle-guard turn left on a little street where you’ll see the bus stop ‘Los Nardos’ on the corner. HOW TO GET THERE BY BUS?

From Distrito Federal, buses run to Yautepec every half an hour leaving from Terminal de Autobuses del Sur (Taxqueña). The bus lines that go to Yautepec are Pullman de Morelos and Omnibuses Cristobal Colón (OCC). Take the bus to Yautepec, and once you get to the Yautepec bus station, take a taxi to Chintámani. Ask the driver to take you to Colonia Los Nardos (on the road Jojutla-Las Estacas); Chintamani is on Calle Los Nardos # 16 (most taxi drivers already know Chintámani Retreat Centre). The cost of the taxi ride from Yautepec bus terminal to Chitámani is about $50 pesos.

HOW TO GET THERE FROM THE AIRPORT?

In terminal 1, go to Gate 8, where different bus lines leave to several cities close to Mexico City. Take a bus to Cuernavaca city (they leave approximately every half hour and take approximately two hours to get to Cuernavaca). Once in Cuernavaca bus terminal, take a taxi to Yautepec. Tell the driver to take the road that goes to Cuautla, via CIVAC, which leaves Cuernavaca city, passes through Jiutepec and Cañón de Lobos. You’ll eventually see the junction that takes you to the centre of Yautepec. Don´t take it; keep going until you see the exit to Jojutla (to your right). Make a right there and follow the signs to Jojutla-Las Estacas. Exactly 5 km (3.1 miles) after this right turn, you’ll see the Hotel “Villas el Trebol” on your left, and still further ahead a cattle-guard (parallel steel bands crossing the road). Some 50 m past the cattle-guard turn left on a little street where you’ll see the bus stop ‘Los Nardos’ on the corner. On this street, some 200 m ahead you’ll see on your right the brown gate to Chintamani (marked with the number 16). The ride from from Cuernavaca to Chintamani is about 40 minutes long, and the taxi will charge about $150 pesos.
